| Ballet/
Tap/ Creative Movement (age 3-5)

| This class is an introduction to
movement. This class builds self-esteem through creative
dance, tap, and ballet. Students will discover how
fun it is to move and create to music. Students need pink ballet
slippers and black tap shoes. Classes involve activities that teach
balance, coordination, stretching, and movement to music; along
with an introduction to
basic ballet and tap skills. This is an introduction to ballet
incorporating basic terminology with positions of the feet, arms
and body. The primary goal is to foster a love of movement.

| Ballet/
Tap (age 6-7)

| This class teaches basic ballet
and tap principles, including center floor combinations. Students
must be 5 years old or have completed the Creative Movement class.
This class will teach thirty minutes of ballet and thirty minutes
of tap. Students will learn ballet arm and feet positions as well
as beginning ballet movements, across the floor exercises, and
combinations. Students will begin ballet barre work as well as
across the floor combinations and floor patterns. Tap will introduce
basic tap steps with barre work, across the floor, and center floor
exercises. Students are taught correct terminology and encouraged
to dance on their own. Ballet/Tap introduces more difficult steps
in ballet and
tap.

| Ballet is the foundation of all
dance forms. Beginning, intermediate and advanced ballet concepts
for children and adults. Ballet will incorporate musicality, vocabulary,
and creativity. Ballet improves grace, coordination and confidence.
Simple ballet concepts will be taught and built upon throughout
the year. This class will consist of a
ballet barre, center, and across the floor. Do you love to watch
The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty? Learn ballet technique
and strive to one day dance in Pointe shoes. Body placement, flexibility,
balance, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through
barre and center floor work. Ballet students will also learn physical
discipline, general body awareness, and control coordinating with
elementary technique and terminology. Dancers will learn to understand
the relationship between music, rhythm and controlled movement with
proper ballet technique. Adult Ballet - Designed for the adult who
wishes to begin dance as a form of exercise or conditioning, or
for the adult with already some background who wishes to continue
dance as a form of recreation.

| Ballet

An advanced class, combining
skills from previous level classes and correlating steps
to lengthy and complex combinations with correct technique,
extensive terminology and knowledge of the art of ballet
itself. Pointe class concentrates on the transference of
ballet steps from demi-pointe to Pointe and is for those
dancers who have achieved the necessary classical technique
and strength. This course will continue to develop ballet
technique while building the flexibility and strength necessary
for dancing on Pointe. The curriculum strongly emphasizes
healthy body alignment as well as a positive body image. |

| Tap |

This class will be for
those who haven't had any or little tap. The basic tap vocabulary
will be covered, and the class will move as quickly as the
students grasp each concept. This class moves quickly and
works on tap technique, rhythm, and choreography. "Making
music with your feet." This class is taught to popular
upbeat music. Improve your rhythm and musicality learning
time steps, "shuffle off to Buffalo " and the
"Maxiford." This class teaches the principles
of tap technique, including basic rhythms, steps and center
floor combinations. Basic rhythm patterns for the feet with
musical phrasing including, standard time steps, clogs,
soft-shoe and percussive styles and rhythms through the
more complicated steps of the Tap repertoire.
Adult Tap - This class will focus on basic exercises, precision
and coordination. Students will learn strong rhythmic tap
technique in a relaxed atmosphere.

| Jazz/
Hip-Hop (age 6 & up) |

Our most popular form of
dance. Traditional jazz warm-up and technique blended with
the music and moves that are popular today. This class teaches
proper stretching technique, basic turns, leaps, isolations,
footwork and all kinds of dance vocabulary. This class will
cover basic across the floor and they will be doing progressions,
as the class is
ready. This class will most importantly teach proper dance
technique in all areas of jazz. This class will cover basic
jazz technique across the floor, flexibility, musicality
and presentation. This is an excellent class for those
who want to learn proper jazz technique.
Use your favorite music to create a high-energy class!
We cover the newest hip-hop and funk moves from L.A. and
New York. We also introduce Broadway music and Musical Theatre
jazz. This is an energetic class that will include a stretching
and cardiovascular warm up along with basic body isolations
and coordination exercises using upbeat and popular music.
Basic combinations of rhythmic, percussive movements of
traditional jazz style. This is a wonderful way to expend
energy and learn to dance at the same time. We challenge
our students with many different forms of jazz, all high
energy but with different styles. These classes are very
popular with all ages and provide an added benefit of cardiovascular
exercise due to the high level of energy exerted. Jazz class
is a fast paced mixture of various techniques. A very upbeat,
funky, street style of jazz. Hip Hop is primarily on TV
during rap and R&B music videos, characterized by its
vigorous athletics and bouncy style.
Adult Jazz/ Hip Hop - This class focuses on isolations,
stretching and dance combinations but also provides a great
full body workout while increasing flexibility and stamina.
A high energy, fast paced form of dance that is popular
in current music videos. This class is a definite great
exercise as it begins with stretching, but works its way
up to a cardiovascular workout! |

| This class is an introduction
to the many forms of modern dance such as the Graham technique.
Modern Dance explores movement, shapes and patterns.
This form of dance is inspired by nature, music, art, and
human emotions. This class covers very basic technique,
study and improvisation of Graham, Limon and Horton.

This class covers basic body
positions, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, back
bends, round offs, and much more. It is a great class to
get familiar with the tumbling vocabulary. This class will
build strength, flexibility of the body, and over all coordination.
All tumbling classes will be very individual with each student.
Students will learn the stretching and strengthening exercises
needed to learn the basic skills of tumbling including: rolls,
cartwheels, handsprings, jumps, etc. Acrobatics focuses on
tumbling and floor gymnastics along with dance movements.
Beginning with simple rolls and stretches, this class teaches
cartwheels, bridges, and backbends, moving into walkovers,
limbers
and combinations. GO for the Olympic Gold! Learn the techniques
of Floor Gymnastics with an age appropriate curriculum. |

Gymnastic Techniques for
Cheerleaders teaches the stretching and strengthening exercises
needed to learn the basic skills of tumbling, including:

experienced coach. Your child learns the proper way to warm
up and perform gymnastic moves that are used in cheerleading.
This class concentrates on just the advancement of gymnastic
and cheering skills.

class will begin with gentle poses as the body warms and then include

the flow of breath through the Yoga poses/postures will leave your
muscles feeling relaxed, your mind invigorated, and your body agile.

| Salsa/
Ballroom (Adult only)

| This is the place to start! No previous
dance experience is necessary. Learn the basics of Salsa starting
with the footwork and progressing on to some basic turns with simple
variations. The combination of great Salsa music and easy-to-understand
moves makes this class a lot of fun! (No prerequisite) This is a
ballroom sampler dance class in which we teach a new ballroom dance
each week. We cover Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba and Nightclub
Two Step. If have not danced, you have not lived! Learn how to ballroom
dance; there is no better time to start. Dance with that special
someone, or meet somebody new and dance the night away. With Beginning
Level Ballroom Dancing you will learn the basics of Swing, Night
Club, Two Step, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, and Cha Cha. In addition,
you will also learn lead and follow techniques to make your dancing
experience fan and enjoyable.
